ebay or large item collections

When i was last looking at wheels on ebay what i often had to take into account was distance to item, this limited me to which items i went for as i had to add courier price on top,

what if we had a collection service area for members,

so that they could purchase items & pass them on at meets etc

probably be easier towards jae etc

but someone could go on & list something like "manchester needed for item collection or something"

or alternatively where they live & where they regularly travel in the country

ie for myself.

based in brecon - mid wales,

i travel fortnightly - merthyr tydfil

monthly - carmarthen, llanelli area,

cardiff every 1-2 months

that way then could pm each other to find when next in area and work something out,

this would probably be more useful for non urgent parts but could save members lots in postage

what do you guys reckon

What so if someone set up a thread in a section and just had a basic layout of where & when etc??

And members just posted in there when they travelled etc?

good idea, what happens 1/2 way down the line, if they get damaged or stolen :/ - theres alot of trust involved

Or if someone won some Volks for £50, asked someone from Scotland to bring them down, but the scottish decides he wants to keep them?
