joe-ep91
I was doing an oil change the other day and thought Id take a look at the turbo as I didnt get the chance when I had the hybrid fitted. I was just wondering why the blades are different to that of the toy tuning and most of the other ct9 hybrid's as they don't look as good. The turbo is made by turbo dynamics, any light shed would be much appreciated:Cheers, Joe
keirz
can clearly see where the comp cover has been machiened out, also that shaft nut does not look like its from the ct range leading me to believe that there is a none standard shaft in there too, a different shaft in there is a bonus as most just used stock shaft but cut back, but hard to tell from the pic.. the comp wheel is difficult to make out, does not look familiar to me at the minute. definatly looks like an old design of some sort, and not like the new garret comp wheels used in most hybrids. joe-ep91
Thanks alot keirz. Was hoping that would be the case. Any more info on the comp wheel would be much appreciated mate. Joe
keirz
im pretty certain the compressor wheel is from a KKK Ko4 range. i had a look at some comp wheels today and it certainly looks like thats what it is. its quite a good sized comp wheel mate. i would say its of similar size to the garret types used in most hybrids.have you had any dyno runs with the turbo?
