Messing about with my D90 Last Night

Got myself a Nikon D90, and only got a chance to use it for about 5 minutes last night.

Excuse the lamp post i couldnt be bothered moving the car lol.

Nothing spectacular, but i liked it:

and to think, this is taken THROUGH a window, which usually bounces flash back at the lense

doubt you would of used a flash? just hump up the iso?

Flash from that distance? Be like a floodlight or aomething.

You set the exposure time for say 10-50 seconds...aslong as you like really, this basically take's a photo for a couple of seconds, thus getting chance to soak up alot of light. That's why you can see the red and orange lights across the road...it's where a car has passed by when taking the shot and it's soaked up the light but not the car. It really is a great effect and makes things look awesome at night! If you can get on the hills with your car at night and get the moon behind it, I think you could make a pretty special picture.

Very nice piccys by the way, think I might dib in for one of those cameras after seeing those.

Thanks for the comments guys. Im going to take alot more pictures during the week when i actually get a chance to use it. Sadly, thats the only pictures ive had the time to take.

yeh it was through a window, and high iso with a longer exposure time.
