Is there any pics/diagrams of screws and things that people could help me with, or show me a spread that shows someone else already asking the same question lol??? Need help please lolRegards Johny
Dan Evans
its easy mate, have you started yet??
Idrees
As he said, it's easy. I did it without a tutorial etc and just figured it out easily enough. Good luck, not that you'll need it by the way!
STEVO9000
If its anything like the Paseo one is, its simple enough, couple of bolts and a few clips to cut and out she comes!
GAZ@A&G_TUNING
i had one out last night LOL, not a bad job atall takes about half hour if you no where all the bolts etc are, make sure you undo the one behind the dash clock, apart from that its pretty straight forward
glanza87
Do you have to remove the steering wheel?
Asad
Nope ^
glanza87
What about glove box or dash console? Or do i have to remove these first?
Asad
For the dash console its just two screws....and then you lift it from the bottom + detach the switches at the top
Idrees
The more you move, the easier it will be to take the dash out! I took the whole load out, steering wheel and all that!
glanza87
For the dash console its just two screws....and then you lift it from the bottom + detach the switches at the toplol i know how to do that! Im talking about the rev counter nd that! Sorry minds dead at this time of night cant think what it is called!
Idrees
The binnacle surround, speedo cluster etc all screw out. The screws are really easy to access.
Asad
Oh lol sorry....as you look at the gauges there are two screws at the top you just remove them and the cowling should come out never been beyond that but there should be screws surrounding the clusters just remove them
glanza87
Lol thanks guys! NAh i dont want to go beyond that either! So this wont be affected when taking the dash out? Well i dont even need to get it out just pull it forward so i can get under and around it! So you both reckon i will be able to do this without removing the steering wheel then? Also how do you take the glove box out??
Idrees
Glove box screws out. Open it to reveal three screws, and theres two at the bottom on the outside.
Asad
Yup, removing the steering wheel is a nob of a job + the bolt on there usually has thredlock on + there is little chance it has ever been removed since it was fitted at toyota mans factory.....so i would work around it
Idrees
Its a piece of piss if you've got the right torx (Sp) keys and strong bar for the main nut!
Asad
Tbh i`ve never done one in a ep but from past experience with other cars i expected it to be hard.....
