228whp ep91
i have just been quoted around 3 grand for a 4efte engine conversion with forged internals fast road cams with a hybrid ct9 turbo and a mapped ecu does this sound fair o you lot or is it easier for me to build the engine and fit it? SiCaln
that stupidly overpriced unless it inc all parts
Toby@ToyTuning.com
What is the full spec list they have offered, who is it and what expereince do they have the 4efte?We charge £2350.00 Inc VAT for a full forged engine only, that's drive in drive out. That doesn't include cams, management, turbo so sounds quite cheap but let us know on the above. With something like a forged engine it's crucial you don't skimp on costs and use the right people but this doesn't mean they are not up for the job. Thanks,Toby

Not putting them down at all have no idea who they are but you need to get ALL the details before commiting, a lot of people promise the world and can't deliver just saying this for your own benefit and nothing else as you could end up spending a lot more money in the long run.T

Toby@ToyTuning.com
they didnt go into great detail.toy tuing looks like a rough idea of what im after.@toytuning how much to transplantant fe for an fteYeah you just need more info from them really. We would charge as above, do you really need to go all out? Why don't you just do a conversion with a stock 4efte, get used to it and go from there?Labour wise we would charge £1000.00 Inc VAT for a conversion exc parts, it's not that hard but the loom takes at least half a day to splice if you get a EP82 4efte engine. If you get a EP91 Glanza engine then this time is reduced as you don't have to splice the entire loom with the old one. Overall not hard just takes some time to do.If you want to discuss further send an email to toytuning@toytuning.com or give us a call on 0844 5610910, we are not open until next week thoguh but more than happy to offer our advice even if you don't use us, I converted a SR around 6 years ago for myself and sold it to Envy Performance in the end so have lots of info. For a basic conversion you will need:4EFTEwiring loomecustarteralternatorcoil & igniterintercoolergearboxclutchflywheelYou could use the stock drivetrain which some do do but won't last forever as it's a lot more stress than the stock 4e NA.Hope this helps.T
228whp ep91
hi,well i have an 98 4efte complete with box 48 000 had it in my garage since i was about 14 its was my sisters,so all i rele need is a loom an ecu and an fmic then im ready to go? all i was thinking is that i can forge an engine whilst its out instead of putting it in and taking it out and putting it in which i doubt i could do without making a mess, was also looking to fit an lsd, left that off the list haha but i wanna blow my budget on performance and leave it as a sleeper and then modd the exterior wen i catch the bug haha
Callan
220 bhp is possible for as little as £1500 for parts from a stock 4efte on stock internals and management4efte conversion isnt that hard imo, youve had a 1998' 4efte for 6 years wtf??also, stock internals are fine for 220+ bhp, im going to run 1.2 bar with a td04l on stock internals and management, 240-260bhp in reach
