joe-ep91
Just a quick question as I'm thinking of fitting a new manifold tonight as my standard one has a crack on the 3rd runner. Do i need to remove the turbo as a few people have said i will need to. But a few people have said I wont need to remover it, could someone clear this up for me please as I dont think i'll bother doing it tonight if i have to remove the turbo aswell. Sorry if this may be in the wrong sectionHelp much appreciated Joe
Glanza-Love
well you need to remove the mani from the block and the turbo mate lol if your changing it... you dont need to disconnect the oil lines or that from the turbo.. your just inbolting it from the mani.also do you have a well lit garage? if not i suggest you just leave it for another day lol

Oh yeah gettin new nuts and sealant and yeah going to my mates to do it in his double garage. Thanks for the reply mate.Joe
WallaceGlanza
It'll take you a while the first time you do it, its awkward getting at some of the nuts so is easiest taking the turbo off, either that or the power steering pump. Once you have the aftermarket mani fitted its much easier to get on and off as you can get a spanner between the runners of the mani unlike the stock cast one.Whats the sealant for you mention? You don't wantto be putting sealant near the turbo, just new gaskets will do the job.
Guest Enzo
the best tules for fucking about with eather the mani or turbo bolts are some swan neck spanners, they make the job alot easier
