*Toymota* Posted May 17, 2006 Share Posted May 17, 2006 for some reason, recently, my glanza has started ticking over when warm around 900-1100 revs. it only started happening after i disconnected my speedo an the ecu light came on, i changed 2 radiator hoses an ive started running it on 99 octane fuel from tesco.does anyone know what this might be?please help!! gorganl2000 Posted May 17, 2006 Share Posted May 17, 2006 1st try and reconnect your speedo cable.....it it manual or automatic?? dont know if it could have anything to do with the speed sensordo a diagnostic reading.....to get the code (bridge te1 and e1)for idle problems.....if the baove reveals nothing :check for vacume leakscheck idle controlcheck timingcheck automatic chokesounds like something went amist somewhere when you disconnected to speed cable Quote Link to post Share on other sites

gorganl2000 Posted May 17, 2006 Share Posted May 17, 2006 have you reconnected the speedo??....this seems to be your problem....if you have not.....then you may looking for a problem that is not therereconnect it first....the ECU may be looking for a reading from ithave you tried the diagnostic??........its very simple and can save you time and money....
