FMIC Noise

Fitted my fmic this weekend and now i have a new noise and cant decide if its normal or a boost leak?

Its a really fine whooshing noise, almost like a leaking bov but a bit finer,

its not the bov because ive swapped that,

now is it just the turbo i can hear more, or the air wooshing through the pipes or a boost leak?

ive always run a standard air box, due to boost creep issues so i know its not an iduction noise, boost has not dropped either its just doesnt creep as much and lets me run an open filter now.

Any help really apricaiated, its driving me mad.

i would have said its your turbo spooling better n louder because the cool air is getting to it alot better..

maybe wrong, but just check all your piping and hoses for leaks.

yeah ive checked and double checked and checked again all the pipework seems secure and i cant see how it can leak ive never been in a car with a fmic so wasnt expecting any noise thats all...

d just say it was ya turbo being fed cool air then mate, which is good!!

After fitting my HDI cooler the whooshing turbo noise got alot lounder. I think its just the noise of the air rushing through the core. Nothing to worry about as my mates does it aswell.

yeah as said will prob just be because the noise being echoed louder through the piping and core. my hdi does the same.

was gonna give liam a lift to pick that wheel up from you the other day in the glanza, but he wanted to go at a time i couldnt take him. i could have gave you a hand fitting the fmic!
