lilmiss
HI. I HAVE A STARLET GT 1994 IMPORT. NEED TO REPLACE ONE FRONT WHEEL BEARING AND ONE REAR. HAS ANYONE GOT A GUIDE FOR HOW TO DO THIS.OR IF POSSIBLE DOES ANY ONE HAVE A WHOLE MANUAL FOR MY CAR?THANKS
ToyotaTech15
What sort of equiptment do you have access to?You usually have to take off the hubs for the front ones, and hit them out with a hammer and the new ones will need pressed in.The rear ones are in the rear drum and usually need chapped out and in again with a hammer and small punch.Judging by the age of your car they might be thight to come apart etc,I would get a garage to do it, unless you have access to a garage or someone with tech knowledge.ThanksGary
Starlet__SR
You're better off going to a garage, you'll hit no end of problems if you do it at home, with the fronts, you'll need a press, then you'll have the problem of removing the inner race from the hub, with it being an old car, you'll have fun getting the races out, you'll then need to press the new ones in, as for the rear ones, with it being a gt, it'll have discs on the rear, which i've not yet worked on. So unless your good with spanners and persistent, take it to a garage lol:)
Dave@TM-Developments.com
As stated for fronts you will need a press, rears are much easier

I know on the n/a that they are just standard taper bearings. Didn't know if the same applied to the disc type.
