Standard Emissions 4efte

Recommended Posts

G'day from the Oz Colony

Peeps i need some info..

I'm getting my 4efte convo engineered, here in Oz we were never fortunate enough to import a Glanza :) so the next best thing is to convert our EP91's with either a ep82 half cut or glanza cut.

Living in the state of Victoria the engineers are a little anal - What i'm chasing is the emission specs for a stock 4efte i believe there is a sticker under the bonnet or somewhere on the car which might have some info pertaining to the emissions of the vehicle... if it's possible to grab a clear photo or scan or anything to use as proof... prefer if it's a glanza post '97... However i'm not sure if there is any difference between the GT 4efte or the Glanza 4efte...

If i can't prove the stock emissions i will prob have to get the emissions test done which is a $1k... ridiculous cause it's free in other states but not accepted in Vic... and on top of the 800-1100 fee for the engineering cert a bit of a expensive pain in the arse.... any help will be much appreciated!!!!

Cheerio!!

Steve

well over here, they are supposed to only perform a base idle test as there was no uk equivelent, so there is not set emissions level i can find

that poses a good question i honestly dont think they were exported outside of japan officialy by toyota

Yeah that's another option... but something i don't really wanna have to do :p

Co² will probably be around 0,001 / 0,002 with FTE/FE catalyst in the exhaust line. That seems to be the number I got when I did a test, plus some other people got the same result. That was at 3000 RPM I think.

My 4E-FTE is cleaner with emissions then my old 4E-FE :p

by the way, isn't there a local Toyota dealer that you can e-mail to?
