nerosis
Ive just fitted my Air Filter relocator from TT and it sounds a treat.Basically, when i give it some beans in 2nd gear, it cuts out at 50mph, where before i put the air filter on it was going to almost 70mph.Is this fuel cut? the car just dies at 50mph and i have to change gear. What is this. Help?
Sparky
Its boost creep mateBecause of the less restriction you hit fuel cut before you would normallyIdeally you need a boost controller and port the wastegate on the turbo now

( i dont wanna break it )
Sparky
You will need to get the fuelling tuned with that set up.Still wont stop the creep, just get rid of the fuel cut.If you have an adjustable actuator turn it down a bit, if you dont have one then it should hold boost a bit better when you get one.Could cause serious engine damage running over a bar of boost on the stock exhaust manifold and other stock parts

Glanza_cl
just dont boot it mate. drive slow lol
nerosis
just dont boot it mate. drive slow lolWhat if im cruising along at 60 - 70mph, will this be bad for the car atm?
Glanza_cl
no if you dont hit fuel cut then it isnt going to cause any harm, more annoyance then anything as if you do boot it a bit you will soon hit fuel cut.just take it easy

Will this sort the problem and let me use full boost again? So as long as i dont hit fuel cut it wont be harming my engine at all??
nerosis
The engine management light popped on for about 3 secs then went off and got all power back.Basically, when i get my BCC, RRFPR, actuator and boost gauge on and fitted on Monday wont everything be fine?I just really dont wanna kill it lol
Sparky
Jeez do you read the posts or what?It wont be fine unless when you get your BCC and RRFPR your getting it set up on the dyno properly aswell?

Fitting your BCS and FPR will make everything fine....if by fine you mean not fine! You can use the BCC to remove fuel cut and then the FPR to increase fuelling to compensate for the extra boost. If you want to stop creep, look here: http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....&article=

andy.i
its fuel cutting as the boost is creeping to .85barjust turn the actuator down so it doesnt creep as much, use a boost gauge to checkthen go to a RR and get the rest put on and set up
Sparky
No it wont cut with your BOOST CUT CONTROLLER on!!
RobSR
if you fit your bcc your not going to hit fuel cut. however you will start over boosting and start melting things if your still on the stock mani. . if you just want to run under fuel cut don't bother fitting the bcc and reg. just fit the adjustable actuator. set it a bit longer than standard... and then see if its helped. its trial and error tbh. if your still having problems after that (good chance you will) either port the Wastegate or fit a restrictor ring in the exhaust and then raise the boost up to .85bar with an EBC. .hope that helps
