Just Fitted Air Filter Relocator.

Recommended Posts

Ive just fitted my Air Filter relocator from TT and it sounds a treat.

Basically, when i give it some beans in 2nd gear, it cuts out at 50mph, where before i put the air filter on it was going to almost 70mph.

Is this fuel cut? the car just dies at 50mph and i have to change gear.

What is this. Help?

Its boost creep mate

Because of the less restriction you hit fuel cut before you would normally

Ideally you need a boost controller and port the wastegate on the turbo now

Ive ordered a BCC and a RRFPR to fit which come monday.

Will these parts sort the problem?

Is the car alryt to drive as long as i dont rag it? ( i dont wanna break it )

You will need to get the fuelling tuned with that set up.

Still wont stop the creep, just get rid of the fuel cut.

If you have an adjustable actuator turn it down a bit, if you dont have one then it should hold boost a bit better when you get one.

Could cause serious engine damage running over a bar of boost on the stock exhaust manifold and other stock parts

Ive got a TT actuator but it isnt fitted as my boost gauge wont be here until monday.

What can i do until monday then to not "Kill" my car?

I really dont wanna kill it from just a air filter ^_^

no if you dont hit fuel cut then it isnt going to cause any harm, more annoyance then anything as if you do boot it a bit you will soon hit fuel cut.

just take it easy

So it is fuel cut then?

My new BCC and RRFPr and boost gauge should be here monday, then i'll be fitting all that along with my TT actuator. Will this sort the problem and let me use full boost again?

So as long as i dont hit fuel cut it wont be harming my engine at all??

The engine management light popped on for about 3 secs then went off and got all power back.

Basically, when i get my BCC, RRFPR, actuator and boost gauge on and fitted on Monday wont everything be fine?

I just really dont wanna kill it lol

Eeekkk! Fitting your BCS and FPR will make everything fine....if by fine you mean not fine! ^_^

You can use the BCC to remove fuel cut and then the FPR to increase fuelling to compensate for the extra boost. If you want to stop creep, look here: http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....&article=20

So it will still fuel cut when ive got my fpr, bcc and actuator fitted, even if i turn down my actuator?

Can i no just turn the actuator down so that i dont hit fuel cut?

its fuel cutting as the boost is creeping to .85bar

just turn the actuator down so it doesnt creep as much, use a boost gauge to check

then go to a RR and get the rest put on and set up

if you fit your bcc your not going to hit fuel cut. however you will start over boosting and start melting things if your still on the stock mani. . if you just want to run under fuel cut don't bother fitting the bcc and reg. just fit the adjustable actuator. set it a bit longer than standard... and then see if its helped. its trial and error tbh. if your still having problems after that (good chance you will) either port the Wastegate or fit a restrictor ring in the exhaust and then raise the boost up to .85bar with an EBC. .hope that helps
