chanelle1234 Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 Hey guysWhat is the best way of removing the black plastic down the side of a sr. Also what will i expect when taken off?thankschanelle Quote
the-dalester Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 heat it with a hairdryer to soften the adhesive. when you've removed is should just leave some adhesive on the paintwork which you can get off with something like Autoglym bug and tar remover!just take your time so that you don't rip any laquer up aswell mark. Lenny Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Use an eraser wheel 100x faster....only if the the car has original paintworkwhats under the pannel as i want to remove mine, is their holes or just glue and a groove? Quote
Galliano Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Just the glue buddy, no holes at all, they are only stuck on. Quote
DavidAshton Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 I found the best way was to heat it up (probably not needed in this weather) peel a small section back then use a credit card to cut through the sticky stuff. If you cut the sticky stuff as close as you can to the paint it leaves a lot less mess and is less hassle to remove the left over gunk. Quote
