skimming the head

has anyone done this and is there much of a power gain.

i was thinking of doing this while the engine was out and in bits ?????????

It would raise the compression - not too sure how much of a gain you'd get from it though.

hmmm the thing is ill have 2 good heads when i get the new engine tomorrow so i was gonna have one skimmed and see if itas makes much difference.

if i was to have it skimmed how much should i have ground off ?????

not much, as im pretty sure the 4efe is a non interference engine, so you dont really want to bugger that about... i would speak to a specialist, or someone whos done it to a 4efte.

If its a standard engine, you cant feel the diffence.
