Maz90
For the extra power just save up for a hybrid
andy.i
cheaper binning it and getting a 2nd hand one
Glanza_cl
as above, get a second hand one or spend the money it would cost to rebuild and get a hybrid... not necessarily that you want more power but over all it will be a better turbo and obviously if you decide to up the power you already have the means to do so. bucketep91
I need to no the same thing aswell. Gutted the Tong turbo's have gone up in pricei wouldnt think it would be a problem if you where running standard boost, not to sure though
Glanza-Love
Its perfectly safe to run a hybrid turbo as long you run no more than 0.9bar as this is not pushing the engine or turbo

Steve GT
so its ok to put a hybrid on if everything is standard on my engine?yer will be fine. course like any turbo car if you seriously ride on the limiter everywhere you'll eventually send the turbo into hyperspace. but running a hybrid tubby on standard internals should be fine if you look after it
WallaceGlanza
No its not a good idea to just chuck a hybrid on a standard engine especially if running higher boost (stock boost levels might be ok as they run a little rich as standard), you'll need to get the fuelling checked and most likely tweaked to cater for the extra air the hybrid will be putting into the engine.People have chucked hybrids on in the past without doing this and then asked why their engine has blown.
