Jimmy's Ep82 Track Road Car

been on here for a while now and im gunna finaly put my build thread on here

my goal is to make a fast road / track car

i piked the car up in poole and then the bug began :D

here are a few piks of wen i 1st day i pikd the car up

the mods on the car were

hks filter

bailey dump valve

kakimoto exhaust

few blue silicone hoses

jam sport fcd

type x ssr wheels

toytuning socks

ssr kyb suspension

tinted rear windows

no cd player

pritty much standard when i 1st piked her up

rite oo guys and gals less get started

drove the car for a few months with a big smile on my face, fitted a cheap kenwood cd player because was doing a fair few miles, to drown out the noise of that deep sounding exhaust lol

orderd a hid fmic of ebay and was realy impressed with the quality of it

shiny shiny

fitted the fmic also with red magnecore leads and an oil catch can.

whilst in the air i fitted the kmh to mph speedo convertor and black sun strip

cut the bumper to fit the cooler by cut i mean butcherd lol and also fitted mesh to protect the fins abit more

got a smaller custom number plate made up to , and a reverse rear scoop

rite didnt do alot to it then for a while

then jap fest was around the corner so decided to get sum new yoko tires grip v well

and a momo steering wheel

fitted a rear whiteline adustable anti roll bar

these are the shocks new ssr kyb the car looks alot lower on the front handel wel aswell

also green stuff pads 3g grooved disks at the front and new disks and pads on the back

got this sard dump valve of my mate rhys also some other goodies

all set for japfest now

had a fantastic day on the pre jap fest day and met nick from tuning developments and was a real nice guy

got a few vids but will have to add them l8er

the day before japfest my manifold crackd and was blowing :@ so used to tubs of gum gum exhaust sealent held up for a bit

didnt last all day nvr mind

after japfest i started to strip the car down

in this picture ive basically removed the whole aircon including its a fair weight being removed now

took the turbo off manilfold and decat off

also took the rocker cover off because is stinkin and needs a respray

drained oil finally got to oil filter aswell the 1st time since ive owned the car and was on dog tight

also took my alloys off so i can start refurbing them because they have seen better days

i was going to paint the lip blue and keep the center black but after going a bit mad with the spray gun i kept them blue

i personally like them, ill see what they look like on the car if i dont like them ill just spray them again no biggy

also fitted the newly sprayed rocker cover back on the car with a violence oil cap from japfest

intierior and exteiror

bonnet raised 15mm

meshed front bumper

jam reverse bonnet scoop

removed rear whiper

dark tints rear

sabelt 4 point harnneses

momo wheel

trd gear knob

to be fitted interior and exteiror

finish spraying wheels

fit toms front bumper and live sports rear spoiler

fit aero catch bonnet pins

trd sun strip and badges

in proccess of getting custom subframes made for seats

update 2nd june

taking alot of the standard hoses off like rad hoses ect and getting all custom 1s made up this week in blue

so the car doesnt look so dull

update 3rd june

not far from finishing my wheels now just rubbd and prepd the other 3 for painting will paint the 3 tomorow and laquare all 4 of them friday with about 4/5 coats of to pack laquare. also my mani has been welded and braced piking that up tonight:). payed for my custom made hoses.

7th june

big day today payed for a hybrid turbo of enzo today :lol:

as you can see in the pic hes added a brace on there so keeps the hole weight of turbo exhaust ect causing it to crack again

painted the mani and decat in heat prevension paint

as you can see in the pic the decat is painted in heat prevenstion paint. ill be heat wraping the mani and deact when the heat wrap comes in the week

in the pic ive just finishd priming the other 3 wheels ready for painting

9th june

bits n pieces are starting to turn up now

as promiced 9 oclock the turbo was here , cheerz enzo :) and he gave me a ukstarlet club sticker :p

also my gaskets come aswell from cam skill and my shorter non ac power steering belt

after two days 100 cups of tea and lots of swearing i managed to giv her a quick clean and took her for a lil spin

the car feels absolutly fantastic that turbo is something else.

i havent booted it yet but feels so much more responsive and smooth

Coming on like a storm now James matey! Looks bloody lovely. :) your doing a top notch job of it fair play, BUT you still havent put the sparco's in yet........10 points off the score board for that LOL. Only joking.

Ooo that radiator is quite nice fair play.........you dont have to nick my one now haha :o

basically im just using it to keep the intercooler cooler which will keep the car running cooler effectivly making a few more horses. ive got all the kit so can be sprayed straight in to the inlet mani but im not going to just yet. i will maybe when the engine is forged
