NeilH Posted June 19, 2006 Share Posted June 19, 2006 good morning, ive noticed my temp. guage being rather erratic.all of a sudden it will just hit stone cold. i cant see no pattern forming when its doing it...like when im raggin it, when im driving normally etc. it seems to do it randomly. possible coolant temp. sensor?shout me back,Neil. Guest Enzo Posted June 21, 2006 Share Posted June 21, 2006 it is the thermostat for sure, aparently a week spot on glanzas and gt turbos,mine went and i dingyed it,it would be like you say then eventually stayed on cold all the time,chewing up fual.then one day sitting in macky d.s started seing steam from my bonnet, opened it up and the over flow bottle was bubbling with mega hot water,got a towl from my kit bag and loosened off the radiator cap, should have sean the amount of hot steam that belowed from, passers by thought my engine had blown up lol. Guest Enzo Posted June 21, 2006 Share Posted June 21, 2006 thermostats are only a few quid from toyota and a piece of piss to fit your self with two bolts located to the bottom right of the engine udner neath the plug leads and dissy capthe engine temp sender is 37 quid, for something that looks like a bolt lol Quote Link to post Share on other sites
