Glanza_cl
ah yeah saw that up the other day, looks realy nice but my biggest concern is it's running 1bar on stock mani, and fueling by the sound of it which is realy not good and the engine could pop at any moment.if you are interested and go look at it, ask how long he has had the FCD fitted and whether the fueling has been set at a RR if he says the fueling hasnt been set stay well clear... or if he has only just fitted it and you buy the car take it straight off.it's nice but 1bar with no fueling mods= bad times! jarvbo
ok thanks for info. i dont realy kno much about starlets! or turboed car for that matter!what is a fcd?what does it do? how do i adjust the boost? wb asap thanks
Glanza_cl
a FCD is a fuel cut defender.the starlet have a stock 'fuel cut level' so the cars cannot over boost and damage the engine. fuel cut on the glanza is around 0.85barhe has used a FCD to bypass the factory fuel cut and is boosting 1bar. now the standard ecu is only capable of reading and setting up fuel for the engine up to the factory level of 0.85bar and he is boosting 1bar so the car is most likely running silly lean and will eventually bend a rod or melt a piston (meaning new engine time )my advice would be stay away from cars with FCD's unless they have been set up properly on a Rolling road with extra fueling in the form of a Rising rate fuel pressure regulator (RRFPR) atleast.have a look through the for sale section on here or TGTT.comthere's one that just popped up thats mint, just click the 'new posts' button on the left and it will come up £3000EDIT: have a look ate these link mate:http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....showtopic=12404http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....s&article=5nice V:http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....c=21137&hl=
