Was just wondering what I will have to do to get it to start with the ECU being different to my originakl which my keys is for.Im only guessing but surely my original key is programmed for the 4efe ECU and wont work on the 5efe ECU?Am I correct? Jozinobi Posted July 18, 2009 Share Posted July 18, 2009 4EFE ecu will run the 5EFE in a starlet fine.It will run you lean higher up but is safe.Ideally you want the 5EFE ecu in there and it is a key transponder issue.Make sure to use your old 4EFE throttlebody as it has the correct sensors, the 5EFE one has different ones.Good luck with the conversion and hope you feel a refreshing difference.Keep us updated on your progress Joz Quote Link to post Share on other sites
