Russleh Posted July 21, 2009 Share Posted July 21, 2009 not sure how to word this. when i change over engines. all wiring included. will i need to change key and ignition barrel aswell. im not sure on electrics but i was just thinking that the imobiliser will be part of ecu somewhere and that if i change that ill need to take ignition barrel with it or am i just totally wrong. Dean @RW-Developments Posted July 21, 2009 Share Posted July 21, 2009 you shouldnt have a problem mate with the 4efte engine being an import engine they dont have chip keys for the imobiliser, when you fit the 4efte ecu it wont attempt to read ure n/a chip key as the standard imobiliser will be useless!
