Oh No! Brown Oily Coolant

just checked my coolant and its brown and slightly oily. no signed of head gasket problem though. no overheating, no white residue, no smokey exhaust and car runs perfect. any ideas?

May have spilled some oil into it maybe?

Quick google search says that or maybe head gasket, i can't think of what else could be, maybe a leak??

ive only had the car a couple weeks so ive not changed coolant or anything and theres no sign of leaks. ill mabey change it and see it it does it again.

Yeah do that, the prev owner could of spilled some in most probably

i would recommend getting it serviced asap bud. When was it last serviced?

Just flush the coolant out with some fresh stuff, it goes brown over time. If there is oil appearing in it after that then start to look for an actual problem.

mine was like that, just change the coolent, make sure your rad pipes are not all gunked up too

thanks for the advice people ill take it on board and get the coolant changed and observe it and take the right action if it happens again.
