Russleh Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 it will be replaced soon but is it safe to drive without its the broken one :harhar: Quote
ToyotaTech15 Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Not sure if I am seeing the pics right,It looks like that black plug on the block, could be a oil pressure switch but hard to say,That could be why the oil light is onGary Quote
Russleh Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 was thinking something like that buut oil light is off now lol. it basically had a small metal spade connector on it. no bigger than 10mm. my mate said knock sensor but i dont think thats right. Quote
ToyotaTech15 Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Is there a wire on it now? There is a sensor on my engine like that with only one wire, 95% sure it's the oil pressure switch like?Gary Quote
Russleh Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 nope still no wire. ill take more pictures later of the connector aswell and the one on the 4efe to make sure. Quote
Glanza_cl Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 knock sensor is on the back on the block not the front, mine just runs into the same loom that my O2 sensor does so is most likely related to oil temp, pressure, oil level or something along those lines.cant imagine it's overly important otherwise your car would be running like crap. GAZ@A&G_TUNING Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 LOL, yeah that will be your oil pressure sensor, unless you have another aftermarket one i would'nt drive it Quote
Russleh Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 ill get off tomorrow to toyota and get one ordered. only done a small journey today which was basically the test drive. Quote
