almerasi Posted September 27, 2009 Share Posted September 27, 2009 hello i was just wanting some advice my ep91 is standard apart from an air filter and exhaust i was wondering would i be silly to get a boost controller and turn the boost up a lil bit with only these mods also wht boost could it take on standard bits?i heard even if i just turn up a lil i could see 40 more bhp? lukEp Posted September 27, 2009 Share Posted September 27, 2009 just from a search on this forum i found that on low boost its 6psi on high boost is 9psi standard, fc kicks in at 12.5psi so I can only guess that the standard ecu can advance ignition and inject enought fuel up to 12psi so thats 3 pounds of boost per square inch of air extra in the cylinders which is a fair bit not sure how much hp you'll gain but you'll be able to tell the difference please someone correct me if i'm wrong.Any increase in boost will reduce the life of your turbo and engine especially if the fuel air mixture is wrong Quote Link to post Share on other sites
