Guest skyinsurance
So..There I was judging the cars for a competition for the best car of the night at the recent Miss Banzai Tunnel run in London (Saturday night)I was approached by a member of another club who has been told by someone (bare with me on this!) that I have been onto this club forum (Starlet UK) and have found a customer with undisclosed modifications and we have contacted that customer and demanded to know why the modifcations were not disclosed..This came as a shock to me and this is not something I have done or we as a company have ever done. I dont like the fact that this rumour is going around I would like to know who this person is and why they are accusing us of this?Has anyone heard this on the grapevive?I wont mince my words here.. what we have been accused of is absolute bollocks. I have never searched out a customer with undisclosed modifications in this way, I have only done this twice and both times was from anomonous tip off which we HAVE to act on. We (Sky) have nothing to gain other than a small admin fee by finding customers with undisclosed mods. I am a car enthusiasts myself, I would have serious objections if I was asked to do this (not that I ever would be!!). Not what I wanted to be accused off on a Saturday night!Anyone know who this? Has anyone heard this?ThanksOllieSky Insurance

Guest skyinsurance
I think he's saying that someone has accused sky insurance of checking up on there clients through the forums to make sure they have disclosed all there mods.yes, in a nutshell, that is correct. Personally, I dont give a monkeys if someone doesn't disclose mods.. it's not down to me or my company to check. The problems you will have are with the police or the underwriter of the policy when you crash.
Guest skyinsurance
i dont see whats wrong with that. technicaly you should have all your mods diclaired.I agree BUT I and we (Sky) do not like being accused of something we are not doing, especially if it could adversely effect our reputation and business. Dan Evans
to be honest mate, i wouldnt worry about it, if that person you spoke too doesnt know who it has come from, then it is going to be bollocks, let it go over your head pal.Your reputation is safe mate
riko666
It's probably a case of someone taking the stereotypical rumour of Police (sometimes true) and Insurance Brokers trawling through internet forums to incriminate the guilty, far too literally
Steve GT
to be honest mate, i wouldnt worry about it, if that person you spoke too doesnt know who it has come from, then it is going to be bollocks, let it go over your head pal.Your reputation is safe matethink this statement represents a lot of peoples views on this matter dude dont worry about it. rumours can be crippling to reputations but i think the majority of guys on here will see through the rumours. you have a decent reputation and it will take more than one rumour to damage that
