joel_ep91
they are the same. so there will be no difference.i was told there is more lift and duration from the turbo cams as the rev higer etc
StarletRick
nope, the springs are different, but the cams are the same. only e series engine with different cams is the japanese 5efhe engine in the cynos.

StarletRick
best mod for the 4efe is to throw it away and get a 4efte. the 4e isnt really any good at anything. the money youd spend getting it to be close to a turbo engine would pay for the conversion over and over. riko666
Lul ^As Rick said - there is some potential to the 4E-FE, some guises sported 100bhp, if you wanted to go further you could use 5E-FHE camshafts, a thinner headgasket from TRD, breathing modifications etc, maybe a standalone ECU to eke out the most from a better tune...but, you'd bespending far more than it costs to install a 4E-FTE, almost a doubling in power figure to 133bhp, and an engine with FAR more potential with far less outlay
rmsnoel
4efe tuning has never really been fully explored. I have turbo heads on both my 4efe and 5efe to great effect. The cams are all different according to the part numbers and my n/a love to rev now partly thanks to the stiffer turbo valve springs.Dont disrespect the 4efe just yet
