LukeSR
Well tonight when I finished work, walked to the car to get in it wouldn't open with the FOB. Very strange I thought so I tried it all round the car and still wouldn't open. Me getting annoyed and a bit worried I open her with just the key and the alarm still on, I sit in and the alarm goes off. I opened the bonnet quickly but cause the alarm is that loud I had to shut the bonnet otherwise I would go deaf lol. So i ring my dad to get my spare keys and spare FOB. He comes and I try the spare FOB (thank god I have a spare otherwise I would of been screwed), works a treat and i get on my way home Got home and changed the battery in the FOB, still didn't work and I thought great its broke. My dad was googling around about people having the same problem and found something. Did the thing that it said to do and worked a treat, it must reset the signal and re-program itself to the ECU or something I don't know. What I did: Change the battery and then straight away point the FOB at the front of the bonnet and hold both buttons down (unlock and lock) for 10 - 12 seconds, after 10 or so seconds wait about 2 seconds then press either unlock or lock button. Worked a treat after 2 or 3 times of pressing the unlock button. So if anyone comes across the same problem, theres your solution What normally takes 10 minutes to get home, took me 30 or
