paulgtt
ive got the speed awareness for the 4th december, got done for 34 in 30.there are a few things about the course, catchment is different for different reason, but i know you wouldnt get on it for the 41 in a 30 which is qouted above, i think 38 is the max, but there are different regulations for different regions, 39 was the limit in northumbriaEDIT- look here http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?autoco...ticle&id=34Well he showed me the speed gun when he pulled me in, 41mph 30mph zone. I would suspect that different forces use varying amounts of discretion though as you say. Also bear in mind that I did the course over 4 years ago so its probably changed slightly since then, at the time Lincoln was the only place in the country that held the courses, there was people who had travelled all the way from Bournemouth to do it!! Steve GT
That's wrong my mate did one of these courses but he was only a few mph over the limit. And he's been driving less than 2 years.ahhh i seem to be wrong then just what i thought. maybe its for poeple who are only just over the limit then ie doing 35 in a 30 etc? LukeSR
Well i just sent off my details and awaiting reply. I may be lucky enough to get away with just the speed awareness course, fingers crossed I'd rather pay £60 and go to it then get 3 points on my license already

Steve GT
haha wouldnt bother me that lincoln was the only place to do the course anywy lol its only down the road for me haha
Glanza-Love
I got 3 points £60 for doing.96.8Mph On the by pass.. instant ban is 98mph... i was 1.2mph off instant ban.I felt happy when he said your only getting 3 points.... i felt i got points the right way.not being a complete idiot battering street roads where kids and stuff would play.for those who speed on 30mphs... you deserve the points i cruise these roads and play it safe. I also got a driving course for blasting the by pass with a mate.. we got asbo's and put on the course.. which was a well presented course and the woman that done it was hot.. but meeting the other guys there you feel like a tube lol... one hit a lampost with a double decker bus.. the other fell asleep and hit a tree.. then a few other minor crashes (must add the course only held guys)Im all for the blasts now and again but do it in a reasonably safe place such as a straight by pass with no one on it.just dont be a moron speeding when you know kids could be round behind the next car you pass.. Steve GT
very true and although i agree with you everyone knows kids could be anywhere mate so you cant use that one lolyeh there 99% more likely to be in 30 zones etc thats why there 30 zones but you never know when they might have gone 4 a mooch got lost and wandered onto the carriage way lol any speeding over the limit is bad. i do it i will admit but speedings speeding and if your unlucky enough to get caught youve just got to deal with it lol
Glanza-Love
Nope mate 98's the ban... 100mph's well they take the book smack the crap out you with it.. ban you then slap you a few again.
bucketep91
its not an instant ban over 98. i had a mate was caught doing 108 and he got 8 points and a 200 fine.the 1 about sending extrra money is buillshit too.best thing you can do luke is not pay the fine and let them take you to court. if they do there is a good chance you will get away with it
Steve GT
i was watching traffic cops the other day and a guy was doing 95mph roughly and the traffic cop on there said anything over 98mph then you are taken to court and have to appear in front of the court and tell them why you were driving at that speed then the judge will decide what to do with you. so it doesnt nessesarily mean a ban but will most likely be banned at that speed lol if your lucky and get a nice judge you might be ok lol

Glanza-Love
its not an instant ban over 98. i had a mate was caught doing 108 and he got 8 points and a 200 fine.the 1 about sending extrra money is buillshit too.best thing you can do luke is not pay the fine and let them take you to court. if they do there is a good chance you will get away with itLMAO your idea of knowing the law is brilliant. 8 points or so.. its at the discretion of the Judge.. so you can get bannedif its over 100mpg it will go to court and you can appeal which most will.. thats when you need a good lawyer to play it down... but doing speeds over the limit realy you have no leg to stand on.and the best thing to do is not pay it? how stupid are you buddy. hillbilly stupid?not paying a fine will cause the fine to be greater and the consequences to be worse.never leave it be... your only making things worse for your self.
