ibz Posted December 2, 2009 Share Posted December 2, 2009 my speedo has stopped working but it still randomly comes on for a bit. then as soon as i come to a stop it stops working. the cable is fine, its inserted to the gearbox and the speedo fine.anyone had any similar problem or does anyone know what the problem is Quote Link to post Share on other sites

How do you remove the speedo cabe?undo the speedo cable from the gearbox, then take the speedo cluster out and take the cable out from there. then pull it out from the engone bay. its not a difficult job at all mate just slightly fiddly behind the cluster.also have you got a mph converter? ibz Posted December 4, 2009 Author Share Posted December 4, 2009 little update,took the speedo converter off and now it is just the speedo cable direct to the gearbox. it now works perfectly in kilometers so i thought the converter is messed up.got home and connected the converter to a drill but tht also seems to work perfectly.dont have an idea what is making it play up ???
