jonnygt Posted December 18, 2009 Share Posted December 18, 2009 when im driving forward straight, there is a like a grinding noise noise coming from where the gearbox is?? i thought it was the driveshafts, but wen a mechanics had it up on the ramps, he sed the driveshafts are fine and the noise is coming from gearbox. he said it is the gearbox diff which is broken?? also wen am free-wheeling in neutral it still is making this noise which is gettin louder??does this sound right or do u think it will be drivershafts??any help please in desperate need of this getting fixed Quote Link to post Share on other sites

lilmiss Posted April 16, 2010 Share Posted April 16, 2010 This happened to my car last night. Was driving along but the car in 5th and it made a screeching sound. Slowed down and put it in 3rd and it sounded like something fell out the car. Its now constantly making a scrapping/screeching noise. I tried to tow the car last night, has the engine running and was in neutral but couldnt tow as it was doing the same thing! Any ideas? Quote Link to post Share on other sites
