Those were pretty slow standard, I believe like 8/9secs to 60, but theyre 130bhp turbo'd standard but all are automatic as far as I remember.

haha i was looking at one of these on ebay or pistonheads(not to buy one tho obv), it was dirt cheap, and i just noticed it was like really fast as apposed to shite

Daihatsu was rescued by Toyota in the 80's and as a result the Charade was heavily styled on the EP80 chassis. If you squint real hard you will see the YRV took a few styling hints from the Glanza in the front end department too.

Ah that explains it. There was a yellow one local to me and I swear I could see a Glanza hiding in the front end somewhere, I thought it was just me going stupid!
