Decat Doesnt Fit.

think its a wepr decat and it doesnt fit to my exhaust system. it is the right shape to fit on but instead of aligning with the holes from the exhaust system for example 1 hole of the decat sits between 2 holes on tyhe system if you get what i mean.

dunno if its ment to fit a gt or somethin because i know the exhaust system on them is different ??

help appreciated as the one thats on is about to snap lol.

hmm, either get yourself a new system to fit the decat, or new decat to fit the system.

what is the shape of the flange that joins to the decat?

im sure wepr decats only fit onto wepr exhausts unless u ask them to make it fit a standard exhaust

chargin some batteries for my camera the now so will makle up a little drawing to take a picture of. it does fit the exhaust and the turbo but only 1 at a time

what about exhaust paste could you not use that to seal it up?

little drawing i made up. at first i thought ok ill just turn the middle section upsidedown but that was just a daft thought because then it wouldnt fit in the hanger bit and the backbox dont fit.

what if you unbolt the center, turn it round, n bolt it that way, it looks like it may work.

i thought of that but then my backbox wouldnt fit to the mid section. annoying lol.

well mine comes as a four piece system, so the center splits in two, does yours not just have a normal two bolt flange on it?

got it with the sleeper when i bought it off streetracer_starlet . does that mean any other decat should fit it then ??

including the decat my system is in 3 bits with 2 triangle flanges.

hmm, have a play around with the center mate it should fit.

well i took one off that fitted so i dont think i should have to move the centre and i cant move the centre because it wont fit the hanger and then it wont fit the backbox either.

Either get a WEPR system, which was on the sleeper, or buy a new decat to suit the standard system.

im using the system of the sleeper and it doesnt fit. fitted with the one that was on there thats about to snap at the top. unless the system was changed at some point.

If i remember right, im sure Graeme had this problem when i sold him it.

From what was figured out, the WEPR system changed slightly through the years.

Find out from Graeme, im sure he will know.

i text him the other day and he said it would fit so it dont matter. goin by this topic if i buy a normal decat it will fit so im not to worried i was just startin to think none would fit

why not go to an exhaust shop and let them cut the flange and rotate it so the holes align?

any fabricator should be able to zip it off and weld it back on, if it were mine id do it myself at work

You wont be able to by any other decat for it

Where the flange sits (at 90 degrees from the parrallel) will only fir with the WEPR system.

You cant go and buy a Roadrunner or anything like it as it wont fit, without an extension peice being made up.

As lads above have said, take it to a local fabricator and have them weld it 180degrees from where it is.

Simple and will cost peanuts.

nah a roadrunner will fit because i dont have a wepr system thats the problem. ill see if theres any roadrunners about because i want one to match the mani anyhoo if none come up for a while ill see about gettin that one chopped.
