EarL
Sorry mate i didnt make that very clear. I put mesh in behind the gap and painted it black, thats what the template was for. Make sure the mesh fitted 1st time. ;) ehh the gaps at the side, i used filler on them then painted over, they're not that noticable though to be honest.Cheers man, I like the look of the front too, never thought a granny car could look so aggressive Cheers dude, that makes much more sense. Can't wait for the weekend to come now to get started. ;) It's crazy, I've spent what most people do on a mortgage on my MR2, but it's this little thing thats getting all the attention now!!! EarL
Just a quick update...The wheels are on. I fitted Falken 195x45x15 ZE512's all round from Camskill.co.uk (£38 each - delivered). Wicked value!I didn't need spigot rings at all. The centre bore was a perfect match for the wheel. In fact you couldn't have got a spigot ring in there if you'd wanted! The car definately "feels" better on the road. A load more secure around tight corners due to the reduction in tyre sidewall flex. the original steelies were an 80 profile, so they used to move around loads under hard cornering. Apart from that, they were only 145's so grip was hardly abundant!!!All in all, it looks a million times better, and I've had several people comment on how nice it looks.Pics to follow...EarL. I'm absolutely positive. You couldn't have got a 10 thou feeler guage between the centre bore of the wheel and the lip on the hub. They fit perfectly. Even the guy who was fitting them (and he's been fitting tyres for over 30 years) said there was no need for a ring.Looks like there were more than one type of Enkei's floating around mate. Mine (and I guess Wylo) have one's that fit correctly, and you have the type that needs a spigot ring.Regards,EarL.
