  1. Now for sale... http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/225158.htm EarL.
  2. Here ya go guys. A quick vid of the Beast in action. Just playing around with the boost... This was taking it easy with 1.35 bar. ;) GT35 and 1000cc injectors to go in soon. 550+ then. EarL.
  3. Looking cool Marky boy! ;) Did your laptop get smashed in the bump? I might be able to sort you out with one if you're desperate. Nothing brilliant, but ok for mapping that old MoTeC M4 of yours... Take it easy mucker, hope to see you at Andi's curry night. EarL.
  4. Yes, it'll be running around 1.9/2.0 bar a little later on this month. Should see around 500 @ the fly then. I'll be testing the L/C in anger on the weekend, so when I do, I'll grab some vids and post 'em up. Cheers lads, EarL.
  5. Here ya go lads. Dyno result number 1. That was at 1.5 bar. Since the dyno day, it's had the cold start and the low speed fuelling re-mapped. Also got the launch control and the map switching working, courtesy of Dave Rowe of MoTeC. It feels like being fired from a gun when it launches. Next mapping, it'll be running on C16 race fuel, and will have nitrous cooling the intake charge. We're pretty confident that it'll make 550+. ;) Keep checking in for updates. EarL.
  6. UPDATE Ok, since selling the Starlet to my mate Mark Edwards, I've had chance to do a little more to the MR2 to get it ready for it's first season of racing. Here's what it looks like now... It's done a little over 1000 miles on the new engine, and is ready for it's final oil change to full race synthetic (Silkolene Pro S 10w-50), before being mapped next Monday (5th of Feb). From there, It'll be run with colder grade plugs and generally given a good seeing to, to make sure it's ready for it's first event on the 22nd of Feb.... Weston Performance rolling road day. The day before the rr
  7. Yes. My good mate Mr Edwards, decided that a more normal manner of direction wasn't good enough, and decided that his wonderful MR2 would be more suited to driving backwards at 60mph, when this happened... It did look like this... But, as they say, all good things... come to a crunching, splintering, back aching, head banging, end. So he's buying my Starlet off me. ...and I'm buying another one. When I've finished running my MR2 in. EarL.
  8. UPDATE Engine in and run for the first time on Saturday. My engine builder said "it sounds like a f**ing monster!!" Can't wait to drive it now! ;-)
  9. Here's mine with... I kinda like it! ;)
  10. Here ya go mate. It's not perfect, but you can get the basic idea. EarL.
  11. Technically, a strut brace (which is fixed to the tops of the struts via the existing bolts) stops the shock towers from flexing apart whilst cornering, and altering the steering geometry mid corner. If the struts are held at a constant angle the car will corner that much more sure footed. HTH.
  12. A hybrid is never going to be as efficiant as a ball bearing turbo, purely because of the turbo's size. It may make the same numbers, but it's life will be that much shorter because of the heat it generates. A hybrid CT9 with a CT20 compressor will generate way more heat than a TD05.
  13. Spot on that man For power levels up to around 300 hp, there's not much that will compare to the power FC.
  14. Surely somebody knows...?
  15. Really nicely done Mart. Not usually a lover of Fords, but that's really nice mate.
  16. Gotta say dude, I agree with Sparky (must be a Welsh thing ). Not a lover of that kit at all, and the Advans don't do it justice IMHO. But I'm not the owner, and as long as you're happy with it. That's all that counts.
  17. I know the eManage Ultimate series are quite configurable, but they're all based on a 16 x 16 map which is the limiting factor. For an extra £100 you could get an Apexi Powwr FC which is totally standalone and a million times more configurable than the Greddy. by the way I sold my eManage and saved for a Motec for my MR2. Now there's the daddy.
  18. Thats the temperature sender to the guage mate. It's the one that links to the ECU I'm after.
  19. Don't care if it's real or not. What a twat.
  20. As per the title guys. Checked the sender to the guage and that;s all cosher. I need to now replace the CTS. I have the new one, but can't see for the life of me where it goes...? It's the one that links to the ECU. Cheers, EarL.
  21. Cheers Sparky. ...took it when I was pi$$ed!
  22. Well, I guess you all know about my other motor... Spent a small mortgage on that ...but I also have a few other passions in my life. Photography Cardiff Bay Image I also manage/roadie my brothers band. For those that are interested (Nanglebadger, you may want to check out my bro's guitars ) take a look at the link at the bottom of my sig Apart from those, I'm also partial to a few bevvies (of the Magners variety of course), but they do tend to get me into a few err... situations! Be good y'all EarL.

    My EP91

They should only go on one way as they're conical. I think you'll find yours sits a little high due to the reduction in weight. Regards, EarL. You need to get a Photobucket account here: Photobucket Upload your photos to there, and then grab the link that the site provides, and copy and past it into here. simple! If you get stuck, PM me and I'll send you detailed instructions. Regards, EarL.
  24. No offence taken mate. I'm absolutely positive. You couldn't have got a 10 thou feeler guage between the centre bore of the wheel and the lip on the hub. They fit perfectly. Even the guy who was fitting them (and he's been fitting tyres for over 30 years) said there was no need for a ring. Looks like there were more than one type of Enkei's floating around mate. Mine (and I guess Wylo) have one's that fit correctly, and you have the type that needs a spigot ring. Regards, EarL.
