Thanks for the replies guys. I'm keeping the orange lenses sorry dudes, as I like the JDM look. It's been pi$$ing with rain here for two days now, so nothing's been done. Prolly do some more work on her in the week. Keep looking in y'all. EarL.

  6. Snowy lives! Here's some pics of my EP91 with it's -40 PI springs and Enkei RP-02's on. You'll have to excuse the bit of grot on the lower of the passenger door. I'm in the process of searching for a new one. Anyone...? Few more mods to do this weekend...
  7. Gotta say dude, youe Seo looks 'ard as nails on those rims. Bitchin'
  8. Cheers for the reply's peeps. It's been over 6 months since the 2 was on the road, but she'll be back with a vengance soon. We're hoping for around 450rwhp when it's finally been mapped (by Dave Rowe), but the way it's been built will mean that it's really torquey low down in the rev range. It should pull full boost (28psi) by around 3200rpm, by which time I'll have a face like a cheshire cat! Wylo, the silver mesh was removed the same day those pics were taken mate. The bodyshop guy thought he was doing me a favour by fitting it, but I don't like silver on a red motor so out it came. It's having a real fine black poly mesh fitted when it comes back to Cardiff mate. In the mean time, I'm really enjoying driving the Starlet. Reminds me of my old race mini. You can just stuff it into corners and balance it on the throttle. Way cool. L8er, EarL. PS. Joz, didn't get time to go there today, been up to my eyes believe it or not. I'll pop down there tomorrow morning. Got some other stuff to pick up too. Cheers bud.
  9. Cheers Enz, It's not finished yet bud, but you'll know when it is mate, you'll know when it is.
  10. UPDATED - SEE LAST POST. Ok, a fair few of you peeps know I also own a 1990 MR2 Turbo. I've owned the car since 2002, and have loved every minute of it. That was, until it was stolen just before Christmas 2006! And so the story starts... History The car was originaly purchased from a US airman (an ex member of IMOC - RacerX) in July 2002. He'd made a few mods to the car, both cosmetically and mechanically, but more importantly, it had been really well looked after, and had virtually every reciept and invoice for every nut bolt and washer that had been put on it since it's import in 2000. Engine modifications included: HSR stainless downpipe, Blitz induction kit, Paul Port fuel cut defencer. Handling mods were: Koni adjustables & Eibach Sportline springs all round, Konig Imagine 17x7 rims with Goodyear rubber. Cosmetically, the car was not brilliant. The laquer was peeling from the driver side rear flank and the original Super Red paint was fading badly, but apart from that, the car was mint. It drove superbly and went like sh*t off a shovel (or at least I thought that at the time). It wasn't long before I joined IMOC and found out just how little it takes to make an already quick car near ballistic, and performed my first mod on the 2. A decent boost guage, and a grainger valve. I'd been warned not to turn the boost up too much, so I found a nice quiet stretch of road and started winding it up. Quarter turn at a time... nothing, nothing, ooh, OH, HOLY CRAP!!! That was the start, and I'm sure many of you guys will attest to the fact that once you've had a taste of increased boost, it's an addictive beast. You just want more! Well I've driven the car in more or less that state of tune for quite a while, with the exception of swapping to a GReddy e-01 electronic boost controller and a CT20 turbo (which was later stolen - long story nwhich I won't go into here). Just got to have more boost... The car was then stolen just before Christmas and thankfully recovered albeit with a fair amount of rear end damage. That was the turning point! I was going to break the car and buy something else, but my mate Phil (MRV6) made me think twice about it and I decided to rebuild the old girl. So with that in mind... Here's a couple of pics to establish what's been done cosmetically so far. Bodywork Border (replica from StylingFX) front bumper, Toms side skirts & Phoenix Power rear splitters. The car is painted in Super Red III The car was put back on the road for a short time before starting to sort the engine, box and suspension. I was lucky enough to sell my house and have enough disposable cash to have a load of work done and have the car come back a real monster to the tune of (hopefully) over 450bhp. Recieved a text from the supplier that it's on it's way, so looks like blast off in a couple of weeks. For the full story and more pics, check here: Full Story EarL.
  11. I really like the colour scheme. I use a very similar one for my brothers band's site. www.splitter.org.uk *blatant plug opportunity* EarL.
  12. Just a quick update... The wheels are on. I fitted Falken 195x45x15 ZE512's all round from Camskill.co.uk (£38 each - delivered). Wicked value! I didn't need spigot rings at all. The centre bore was a perfect match for the wheel. In fact you couldn't have got a spigot ring in there if you'd wanted! The car definately "feels" better on the road. A load more secure around tight corners due to the reduction in tyre sidewall flex. the original steelies were an 80 profile, so they used to move around loads under hard cornering. Apart from that, they were only 145's so grip was hardly abundant!!! All in all, it looks a million times better, and I've had several people comment on how nice it looks. Pics to follow... EarL.
  13. Bit of an update... Wheels and tyres are on (and didn't need spigot rings), and it's had a good clean. This weekend will see the rubbing strips removed - weather permitting, and the grille blacked out. Pics to follow... EarL.
  14. I had an MR2 Turbo as a daily driver, but decided I wanted to take it off the road and do a total rebuild of everything to make it into a real monster, so I needed a second car to run around in while the 2 was off the road. I remember seeing a white SR in my town a year or so back that had been lowered and had a nice set of white alloys. It really looked the business. Squat but round because of the EP91's curvy front end. I had to have one... ...guess the rest is history.
  15. Hey Wings, it's no biggie dude. Just follow the wiring guide. A couple of wire moves later and your all RPM'd up! If you get stuck, drop me a PM. by the way - The problem with mine... ...the needle was on in the wrong place!
  16. What you have to take into consideration here is what she deems to be loud. 90db may not seem loud to you, but it may seem deafening to her. If it's loud, just try turning it down a little. It doesn't hurt does it? EarL.
  17. Fitted the cluster I bought off Scutch0 today. Downloaded the wiring guide and all went pretty smooth. The only thing I'm unsure about is the rev counter. It works fine, but it's reading around 4k at idle. As soon as the ignition is switched on, the needle jumps up to 2.5k, and when it's started, it jumps to 4k. Any ideas? Maybe I've done something wrong, but If I have, then the wiring guide is wrong because I followed that t the letter. Cheers, EarL.

    Air bag

Well, I disconnected the battery, released the two screws (one either side) and knocked... You're joking! I could have knocked it with a 10lb sledge and it wouldn't have moved! So I left it there and worked around it. I'll need to remove the damn thing before long though as I'm after a Momo wheel. Cheers guys. EarL.
  19. ...and they should be white.
  20. Dude, there's one on EVERY estate! Joz, I gotta agree mate. Your Starlet looks absolutely stunning. EarL.
  21. If they have water in your part of the world, I suggest you wash your car before trying to do a photoshop. If somebody chops a GT panel onto that, it'll look well wierd. One shiney panel and all the rest of the car dirty. ;)
  22. ...anyone tell me if the CTS warning is referring to the temp guage sender located in the thermostat housing? Thanks in advance, EarL.
