Ok, before I blow myself to bits... How do you remove the steering wheel without blowing the airbag to bits? ;)
-
Cheers for the help dude. ;) Perhaps you can tell me where the actual sensor in question is? Or are we just talking about the one in the thermostat housing on the right side of the engine as you look at it? I'll be checking this out on Thursday, so I'll let you know the outcome. ;) Thanks again, EarL.

At the end of the day, if you beat him, or he beats you, will it make any difference? Ok, he's had the front to say things thet made you out to be something you're not. Grab the git by the scruff of the neck and ask him why (if he's someone you know personally) he's said those things, or better still, register on the site and ask him on there, in front of everyone else he's bleating to. As to whether your GT would beat a Cupra deisel... That's down to the driver mate. At Ten Of The Best this year, my mate's MR2 turbo whacked a Lambo Murcialago on the quater. He didn't beat it, he ATE it.

...better still, take measurements of the bearings load faces (internal diameter, thickness etc) and source them from another manufacturer. There are loads of them on the web specialising in bearings. They probably wont cost you more than £20 total. The seals can probably be sourced the same with a bit of persistance. ;)

Breacon Beacons about 15 miles from Cardiff for me. In ANY car. One of the best roads in the country IMHO. ;)

Cheers bud, Sounds a plausable enough explination, and I'll certainly check it out, but as I've explained, the temperature guage reads normally. Surely if the temp sender was faulty, the guage would read incorrectly? Maybe I'm wrong... ;)

Ok, this is starting to do my head in now. The EMS light is still coming on intermittently, givving a code 22 fault. The fault says its a CTS fault showing a short ciurcuit or open circuit. The only sensor I can find relating to the coolant temperature is the one wired to the temp guage and that's located in the thermostat housing on the right hand side of the engine as you look at it. The problem is getting worse as the car is now starting to splutter and cough in traffic, suggesting that it's getting too hot, yet the guage is showing a normal reading. Any ideas guys?
-
Cheers dude... Which one? ;)
-
I'd rather say my car is a 1.3 litre n/a, and then smoke em! I do it all the time in my MR2. ;)
-
Yeah, they always did look cool. ;) There was a couple of Scooby's done like it in one of he mags a couple of weeks ago too. ...now a Starlet! Whatever next? ;)
-
That's where I got the idea from (Ford got it from the old and new GT40/GT). Didn't copy it though, I maaaade it myself!
-
Yes mate, but all in good time. ;)

Well, after playing round with PhotoShop, I've got the pic to exactly how I want the car to look. I've got all the parts ready for the real thing, and it'll be done this weekend, so keep an eye out for pics of the real thing next week. Anyway, here it is... Hope you like it. ;)
-
Cheers guys. Here's a chop of it's big brother. It looks identical to the pic. Just can't wait to get it back now. ;)
-
They might not be designed for that purpose, but I've just done the very same with a set of -40 PI springs, and although the ride is a fair bit firmer, it's rock solid at speed, and goes around corners like it was on rails. Sounds like your shocks have had it mate.
-
Err.... nothing. ;)
-
Cheers dude, that makes much more sense. Can't wait for the weekend to come now to get started. ;) It's crazy, I've spent what most people do on a mortgage on my MR2, but it's this little thing thats getting all the attention now!!!
-
Cheers dude. I've been using Photoshop for a couple of years, but never tried anything like this. Just couldn't get the hang of skewing the wheels to get the right perspective. Just practice I guess though. ;) Looks good with the RP-01's on though. ;)
-
Cheers Wylo, Not quite sure what you mean by making a cardboard template. A template for what dude? Yours looks fantastic. Just the sort of look I'm after at the front. ;) When you cut the spars off, did you fill in the gaps that were left with? Is that what the templates for?
-
Thanks for the pics dude. ;) I think I'll be doing both spars though. I really like that look. Will do mate. Better safe than sorry. Thanks for the heads up. EarL.
-
Cheers Phil, ;) Not sure where to get the clears from, but yeah I agree. It'll tidy it up realy nicely. Gotta figure out how to do the grille first though' ;) EarL

Ok, here's my first attempt at photoshopping my car. The mods shown are underway, and it should bear more than a striking resemblance to the finished chop by next weekend. From this... ...to this! Comments please. ;)

It is mate. Stuck a set of PI -40's on it last weekend. Wheels are on their way. Toyo T1-R's are on their way and it should look a little bit like this by next weekend...
-
So the strips are just held on with glue? Cool. Mine are coming off this weekend then.

This was taken from one of the threads in the "How 2's Q and A" forum. 4EFE Displacement: 1331CC 4 & 5 Speed Manual or Automatic BHP: 75-99BHP depending on Year Torque: Depending on Year CR: 9:6:1 DOHC ...not too far away from 100 if you ask me.
