Meston
Thinking about going down the hybrid route. Trying to decide what exhaust manifold to get, would it better to get a manifold with an external wastegate like this one:http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index...._item&id=42Love the sound of screamersWhat would the benefits be over a normal style manifold? Guest Enzo
i have an externaly gated td12 setup and two boys local to me also share this same setup, the sound is amazing at full chatsort of like a jet fighter.before going at lenghts to change the turbo you need to establish how much power your actualy after?so how much power are you wanting under your right foot? Meston
Aiming for about 190bhp before I drop in a forged engine which wont be any time soon though!
Guest Enzo
you can get that on your standard turbo granted it wont last long.you dont need a forged engine for 190bhp mate. or for any ct9 based hybrid.the gt spec is good for 190-200 and is a replacement for the standard ct9i also sell the td12 spec, this turbo is externaly gated so you could use that manifold you posted above,, this turbo has been designed as the best performing hybrid on standard internals, capable of between 200-220 properly setup.if you have any other querys just ask
ste91
190bhp will be easy with a TD12. What do you call "normal" style manifold? That one you posted will be fine for what you need.Along with a decat, intercooler, exhaust system, air filter, and a piggyback ECU.If you do all of the above you will be ready for bigger power in the future once you have forged internals, you will just need some bigger injectors etc... and a remap at higher boost. Meston
Yeah i'm aware that it can handle close to 240bhp on standards as my mate found out Wouldn't mind finding out more about your TD12 spec turbos.
