rorenapier
Gary if your going to be running an oil cooler please remember to run a inline thermostat.I personally run a Mocal Thermostatic sandwich plate, which opens at 80 degs.Saves having an inline one really.Only down side with the Mocal is, there is no ports for gauges. ToyotaTech15
Ok cool cheers Rory Where will I get one from? The thermostatic sandwich plate? Also for the gauges could I not just put my ultralight sandwich plate on with the oil filter relocation plate? Or will that give false readings as itl be colder than the engine oil if you know what I meanGary
rorenapier
I bought mine from Speedflow,http://www.speedflowshop.co.uk/thermostati...tsp1-1020-p.aspYou could do that, have the mocal then the ultralite plate, but its something i wouldnt advise. It has been done before by a good few people, but its something i wouldnt do.You want to have the oil temp gauge as close to the engine as possible, in the line from the engine, so you get a reading of whats coming from the engine instead of whats going in.I run an extension in the line for my oil temp gauge, this one in fact,http://www.speedflowshop.co.uk/jic-male-to...e-port-69-c.aspObviously you would have to select the one that suits the hose size.
