i was wondering if anybody knows if this would be a good idea instead of using a sandwich plate to fit my oil gauges? also will it fit a starlet?

Will work fine for pressure gauges, but not so good for temp gauges.

so i would be better of with a sandwich plate then if i can get it to fit lol

Yep.

You will have to grind the power steering bracket to make it fit.

Common practice on these cars!

dont use anything copper that screws into the oil sender port LOL worst mistake i ever made when it snapped off in the port trying to get it out
