5T4R7ET N/A Posted February 17, 2010 Share Posted February 17, 2010 mate i had his problem on my mate corolla and my car. both with the same system.when you eventually do get it open, when closing it again have a look at were the petrol cap latchcatch the plastic popping mechanism (normally black). sticks out about 5mmall you have to do is bend the petrol catch latch in or out depending on were it catch that plastic mechanism, in both cases for me i had to bend in inwards slightly and then it started working like new!BUT your problem could be slightly different, depending on if your cable its actually pulling the popping mechanism or not. then i believe you would have to get rid of the slack in the cable.hope that helps.
