shanksportif Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 My underbrace (which along with the top strut brace has improved the handling no end) rattles noisily against the standard n/a exhaust. I was wondering; seeing as these are designed for turbo starlets, do they have this problem on glanzas/GTs? If not, would it solve my problem if I bought a standard Glanza/GT exhaust system; or would this not be compatible with an n/a? Failing this, can anyone suggest anything that I could put between the brace and the exhaust that would stop the rattle but not melt or burn? Thanks in advance - James Quote
keirz Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 i think the exhaust is not compatible. as for a material i would suggest thermotec exhaust wrap. you can get it off ebay. a layer of it wraped around the exhaust and strut should work well and its built for use on exhausts so is fully heat proof. hope this helps mate. shanksportif Posted October 8, 2006 Author Posted October 8, 2006 Cheers mate, sounds like it might be what i'm looking for! I'll have a look for it on ebay. Quote
keirz Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 ok mate. i have it on my manifold to reduce engine temps. when the exhaust gets hot the wrap smells a bit like biscuits which is an added bonus! Quote
