im sorry if this is a repost.

im not a ford guy really but like most i love the old fords cosworths etc . . .

i just stumbled across this on youtube im not a new ford guy but the new RS's are lush in im opinion. having stumbled across this i thought i would share it for anyone interested. The new Ltd edition RS 500.

Edition matt black, They are talking about 350 horse & 339lb ft torque. only FWD though i think they have missed a trick there. why have ford not done a good 4WD in years i dont know. think if they had made these 4WD they would have sold silly quick.

I like it. what does everyone else think?

It might be cool, just a shame they didn't give it 4WD, so it would have been more like a Impreza STI rival.

They might as well call it the Ford RS500 Torque steer edition. :p

Pretty cool, but the RS500 is a bit pointless since Mountune have released an approved tuning kit taking it to the same spec!

i bet 70% of the starlets/glanzas on here have a load more tourqe steer than the rs500!!

Perhaps, but only the more tuned examples. This is just from factory, which in my opinion is just bad engineering. :p I also love the fact how at first they didn't gave any acceleration times etc, because they know the thing will never have traction etc. :p

^^^ 4 wheel drive would of made it to heavy. And every one who says it will handle like junk obviously hasnt driven one!

Because everyone who has said its a ace handling car.

The next focus rs is said to have electric motors driving the rear wheels

Looks awsome but yea 4wd or GTFO

Anyone seen the new Volvo hatchback thing coming out (forgot the name) 400hp and 4wd and BBS rims as standard :p now thats a car!!!

Right some facts regarding the weight:

Impreza STI hatchback (the latest model) - 1505 kg

Ford Focus RS500 - 1468 kg

And I was never saying it handled like junk, I'm sure it will handle perfectly, because Ford knows how the setup a good chassis. But that doesn't change the fact it will definitely have traction issues.

And talk about the massive fail there regarding the weight. Focus RS without 4WD is almost just as heavy as the 4WD impreza. 1468 kg with a FWD hatchback is just ridiculous. :p

Yea that Volvo would be awesome Sparky! :p

i just hate the name volvo. maybe in the future the name will be remembered for being sporty and the best all round car but in my head its just for oldies.

I agree with the Volvo name, although that one does look pretty nice.

I love the RS's though and I believe that the RS500's sold like hot cakes.
