Yes, its purpose is to cool down the air which is spooled up by the turbo, the cooler the air the densor it is, which means more air and fuel can be forced into the engine, the top mount intercooler can get heatsoak which will lower performance

you anwered your own question mate, if it cools better, performance will be better :o

yo guys... it is noticable increase in peformance yes, the chattering noise made by the turbo is also louder and slower (cooler)

spool time, the ct9 is so fast at spooling you'll hardly tell the difference, so dont let that worry you!
