Decatting An N/a On Standard Exhaust?

You would get a small power increase, not much though. You may aswell remove the middle box aswell and get a less restrictive backbox to free up a few more horses. General rule with exhausts is less recstrictions = more power, stainless would be best.

Hope that helps

tbh not many people decat with the standard exhaust its usually rusty and basically shite

if possible, go for a larger diameter cat-back and get a section with flanges put in to replace the cat.

Properly designed silencers do not restrict power.

@ japluva - From what you are saying , putting a 3" bore system with no restrictions and you would gain power? Dont think so buddy

As for going fo an uprated system, 2" would be big enough on a 4efe, any bigger and i would think you will lose power and torque

as a few people know ie been working on a 4efe stainless 4-2-1 mani and removeable decat for a while using standard size piping (this could easily be upsized to 2") these are readily available cheap in the 2nd hand market for as little as £15 depending on the scrap yard and are easily modded to fit!! using the standard front section!! well thats the theory anyway should have mine back this week and im hoping to try it on sat at the rr day!! aslong as it all lines up!!! fingers crossed!! sort the decat then if i have time!!
