Decat And Sunstrip Will It Be Ok For Mot?

just wondering will a decat pipe be ok for mot on a glanza? also have a smallish and fairly light tint sunstrip on the car prob be about 5/6inch will this be ok or whats the story on them?

it will fail on the decat. With the sunstrip, if anythink is in the area of the wipers is a fail. so you might be ok with that

But you could always slip te guy sme money.

if its a jap import then the de-cat would be ok as you dont need to do a cat test, as for the sun strip may fail depending on the tester

All depends on te tester the bloke I had was a knob and said he was gonna fail me on sunstrip, so I peeled it off there an then and he said pass

They obscure visibility apparently, although technically they keep thesun out of your eyes.

Just put smaller wiper blades on for when car goes in for test and put original blades on later, simples

Yeh it only fails on sunstrip if the wiper blades touch the strip, what raffa said is an awesome idea

i thought my car would fail on the sunstrip as my wipers both clearly go over it but it still passed.. must have just got lucky?

As it's an import the engine from the glanza isn't on the emissions machine so it SHOULD get a non cat test, also if the sunstrip is in the wiper sweep then it will fail as it's not an official document, the only thing aloud in the wiper sweep is in date tax disc and indate parking permit ,

also as said above you can put on smaller blades to clear the sunstrip and as long as it's clearing the water from the screen it will pass.
