paul w
Well i picked up shauns old GT last night,so now its time to rip it apart and put it back together again. Started to take the damaged panels off you can see in the pics, mostly held on with cable ties so that didn't take long!! Managed to make a start on the spraying off the new panels, the paint in the pics is still drying thats why its different colours.Once they are back on i gotta start on the turbo because thats well....smokey to say the least!http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k282/pw_...rletpics017.jpghttp://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k282/pw_...rletpics018.jpghttp://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k282/pw_...rletpics019.jpghttp://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k282/pw_...rletpics020.jpghttp://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k282/pw_...rletpics021.jpghttp://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k282/pw_...rletpics022.jpghttp://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k282/pw_...rletpics023.jpg

paul w
Yeah bald tyres+rain+wall= 1 bolloxed GT! It wasn't too serious just pain in the ass to get straight enough for all the bits to line up again! Nearly all sorted now,and a potential buyer came round today so all's well for this lil GT. Ichiban
oh shit, i didnt realise he'd stacked andy's old gt! never heard anything about it, thats why it was sold then! glad to see you're bringing her back to life mate, should point andy in this threads direction Beat you to it mate Holy cow! My old car!!! That fills me with sadness as it still feels like its a part of me in some small wayI never tinted the head lights, might of got pulled or somethingI bet he adjusted the coilovers all the way and didn't wind them down for the wet weatherI came back for rally supercar day at castle combe last year, chucking it down. turned a corner, sod all grip, just plowed straight on. good job the tyres were grippy enough to stop it before I hit anything.Wind them down to max soft on the dampening for the wet weather. trust me, it makes all the difference Get the beastie looking proper again
paul w
Mikey, that'd be telling ole bean! Ichiban,it was sad seeing it all busted up,wasn't too bad but it looks a lot better now.Couldn't see a damned thing drivin it home with the tinted lights so they're in the bin now! No tread left on two tyres so that wouldn't help with the steering in the wet!Swapped the coilovers round onto my GT today they're a bit lethal thats for sure so i'll adjust them in the morning! Just needs the turbo fitted and an mot (hoping that theres not much needs doing)then she'll be nearly good as new,got 3 people interested and it hasn't even been off my driveway or offered up for sale yet!
