fucking cracked manifold

its not sard or greddy manifold...

its the kit i bought from rikko advedrtised on here his jap

contact supposedly HRF manifold .... made in china maybe not japan lol

its the wastegate piping thats cracked and small hair line crack at the top

Im pretty sure its an SARD mani, which always crack lol

Either way, any Jap, Chinese or Taiwan made manifolds WILL crack as there manufactured with cheap shit stainless. :lol:

It's an HRF manifold, and obviously Faisal flinging blame as usual. Luck of the draw with these thin wall stainless manifolds really, some last, some don't - that one was well braced too, from what I saw

Should have had it re-done in Inconel, I doubt Faisal would have been happy until then, but what can you do

I would have had it ceramic coated and further braced for piece of mind, but some people prefer just going for brevity of purchase rather than going through the correct protocols of knowing what they're buying.

If I remember right, Fishy's HRF Manifold cracked in basically the same spot too?

i dont expect a brand new manifold to crack as bad as that...

HRF or not that is just crap... in 2 and half @1.2 bar not even tickling

the boost levels i was gonna run 2 bar+

i bought this through riko apprarntly his japan ep specialist contact ... its his responsibility

there is not pOnt making more of a an issue out of it

i wanna know how is this gona be resolved.. (i still cant send u pm's riko)

and riko the turbo was used not the manifold i think... i will check though my emails

the colour/finish was equal on the manifold when i got it and now after use its changed in places

as manifolds do after use and its not braced anywhere ....

If you need it welded ( Tig welded and purged) and braced i can do it for you mate.

You're not blocked, and you've made your "issue" plenty public thus far. The manifold never was, never has, and never will in future be stated as sold as new - the whole kit, had 20,000km usage, this was posted, clear to see - unfortunately it seems that closed threads on the forum are purged so verification will be wanting, though I'm sure you'd rush to claim that I have the ability to edit the contents of the thread. The only thing I mentioned on receipt of the kit from Japan was "The manifold looks new, it shows so little use". I didn't not say "z0MG ITS NEW". You can clutch at your straws as you wish.

You bought the kit, as seen. You never asked for details, you never asked for the contact to check its physical status/provenance, you never asked for any further details of its usage. Furthermore, you persist in your childish accusations of a persons' credibility without having any facts, only hearsay, perhaps in a manner to grab a cheap laugh, and I'm presuming just so you can keep fooling yourself into thinking you have no responsibility in what apparently transpired.

You don't seem to be lucky in purchasing turbocharger kits though, what, with the former debacle you kicked up with Kingyglanza - is everyone out there to con you Faisal, or do you just buy blindly, blame later?

Several people have mentioned the questionable durability sometimes found with Japanese Stainless manifolds in this thread alone, did you miss the memorandum when this information was forwarded out? The runners on your manifold are braced with those tabs, but the exhaust wastegate pipe wasn't, as is usual with these Japanese manifolds, did you bother having it braced? Or did you just buy everything, waiting for something to go wrong to spring this on me, nearly a year down the line? Waste more time that you have already wasted of mine in the past?

Manifold looks well weathered as well, did you leave it out for these few months? Looks a far cry from this:

I'm not quite sure what kind of guarantee you are looking for when you bought a used turbocharger kit, failed to apparently read the details on usage, and were completely oblivious to the notion of finding out more details of the items you were going to spend a large amount of capitol on. I must say I'm not careful with my money, but even I make some efforts towards finding the provenance of what I'm buying and knowing what it is that I am buying.

To be fair, it does look brand new in the pic riko put up, no discolouration of the steel, it looks pretty crappy stainless to be honest, from the colouration and corrosion on it, but can be welded. I dont think you can blame Riko, any manifold that is made of thin stainless like that, is going to crack, and the big name japanese branded manis are the worst for it in my experience. Just fire me over a pm when you want it welded mate.

Precisely why when I received it I claimed it "LOOKED" new, based on the above illustration.

The issue here is not who is to blame, but that blame is being apportioned at all, when no due care was taken in the purchase of the manifold. At all. Yet Faisal expects somehow a guarantee for his ignorance.

You've already just clarified some quick pointers based on some blurry pictures at the top. Faisal asked nothing. Yet apparently made himself believe he was getting a New/Used HRF Turbocharger Kit, with a New manifold but used wastegate, turbocharger, exhaust system, GASKETS & Hardware (used gaskets & hardware, new manifold? Hmm) and so on.

You don't really have a leg to stand on mate, it lasted two and a half months without any issues therefore was absolutely fine at the time of purchase.

they do add abit of interest to a boring sunday night!

imo manifolds crack, its just the nature of the beast unfortunatly! get it welded mate and it will sort it and get it well braced and hopefully it shouldnt crack again! its just the joys of modified cars, if i blamed someone for everything thats gone wrong with parts on cars past a present i dont think 1 person in the country would speak to me! lol
