I've had hot water on a cloth trying to melt it to no availanyone got any nifty tricks that might help me with this matter at all will be gretly appreciated lol Quote
Wantaglanz Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 for the outside you can put an old towel over the window, not sure about the inside Quote
Steve GT Posted December 6, 2010 Author Posted December 6, 2010 yeah outsides fine its the bloody inside thats the problem lol Quote
Raz Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 what about them heaters u can plug into the cig lighter? sit in car and have that heater on? may drain battery lol Quote
Steve GT Posted December 6, 2010 Author Posted December 6, 2010 can keep the car running while they were doing it thats a good ideabut as you know its 7 o clock i cant move my car cause cant defrost the windscreen and i need to be up at 4 to go to workgood idea rob....but again dont have a hot water bottle Quote
Wantaglanz Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Got a hairdryer with a fag lighter adapter? loltape some newspaper to the inside of the window to absorb any moister from the windscreen?then just rip it off in the morning haha Quote
Steve GT Posted December 6, 2010 Author Posted December 6, 2010 someone told me wd40 was good for it but I've tried de icer and that was just freezing as soon as i sprayed it onand if de icer freezes wd40s got no chance Quote
Steve GT Posted December 6, 2010 Author Posted December 6, 2010 @wantaglanz its frozen now theres no way i could get tape to stick lol Quote
Wantaglanz Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 before it freezes! after you've used the car im thinking of how to stop it freezing woopswd40 might work better, its oil based so wont freeze as easily Quote
Steve GT Posted December 6, 2010 Author Posted December 6, 2010 true truebut yeah i cant get it to clear at all 30 mins of car running and it didnt even start to even break. i had to pick a small patch off with a knife and drive home very slowly and carefullynever doing that again Quote
Wantaglanz Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 i googled for you, mixing vinegar and some water in a spray bottle will work haha Quote
Raz Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 WD 40, heat the WD 40 can up. Not in boiling water but just over luke warm water and that should help. But -14 i am guessing the frost is going to be fucking thick! Heat applied to the outside of the windscreen will help clear frost form the inside. How you are going to apply heat, i am not sure. Hot water? not too hot obviously. but that will freeze if left too long. Quote

Apply liberally to the glass with a spray bottle" Quote
