drilling through dash to mount gauges

Recommended Posts

i want to mount my gauges on the dash above where the heater vents are, on the same line but further back so in front of the clock (if that makes sense) ive taken off the plastic trim what sits around the cd player etc and im wondering how i would be able to reach the wires and wire it through? i cant see how i would get to the wires? is there anything major i need to be careful of when drilling through the dash?

Hey mate I fed my wires down through where there dash clock is (my clock didnt work)

If you take the centre console out you should be able to see where to feed the wires through its tight and fiddly but not too difficult, thats the best way IMO if you can live without the clock :) saves butchering your dash :)

and they were just double sided stuck down didnt have a problem

thanks for the reply mate :) the only concern i would have is that there would be a fair length of wire on show and i want it nice and neat so thats why i want to drill a small hole and feed it through. really unsure how i would reach the wires, would taking the glovebox out give me some more room to see up towards the dash do u think?
