azad786
you know like turbo gauges, well ive seen gauges on this computer that react to sound , the needle moves to the base or the loudness, i just wanted to know if you could get a gauge that reacts to sound
Idrees
I think he means dB reader/sensor guage?
azad786
yer thts the one i wanted one which i can fit into the empty din under my stereo.
Idrees
Pointless chav rubbish i believe. Let me warn you now, after searching this site and becoming a part of it, in a few months maybe, you will have the URGE to get all ya bass install out and flog it. Its happen to me after i built a custom bass install for the Starlets boot.
Nanglebadger
your boot install didnt make u a chav Idrees mate, i myself plan to put some bass into the car someday, and look at my bro's install, and nither of us our anywhere NEAR bein chavs lol. Phil.
keirz
Pointless chav rubbish i believe.well it depends. i guess if he wanted to enter sound offs and stuff its not pointless. just a bit of a conclusion to jump to. the lad wants a db guage so he's a chav?
ecksjay
a simple db gauge is silly, a proper IASCA spec sound pressure meter which is even remotely accurate requires particular conditions, to be in a partular place, and cant just be temporarily mounted in the car.i've never seen one in a universal 60mm gauge form, it will be a proper external briefcase sized audio processing unit or similar. azad786
i dont wanna look chav but evryone has turbo gauges and since mine aint a turbo, i thought i could get a gauge that moves to the sound of music
keirz
i think maybe a volt meter might do this a bit. its also not really that useful but what the hell. maybe get a tacho and shift light.
ross
just find a Electronic boost gauge and wire it into your REV counter seen it done, looks pretty cool

Phil.Whoops sorry for being a bit of a prick, but our bass install supposebly does make the SR chavvish I just thought for some reason that it must be one of them dodgy little things like LED's etc
ecksjay
just get a voltmeter or something if you want a gauge - but in my opinion pointless gauges are silly anyway unless they're actually doing something.i dont even run a boost gauge anymore!
azad786
hey i found it, its goes under my headunit, seen as i have a starlet sr and it has a spare din slot http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=300066439742

Idrees
I quite like the look of them too, but we've got a double Din DVD player so it wont fit in anywhere, unless we rip out the ashtray and cig lighter, then stick this in their place - sounds like a plan
