de-cat fitting advice

Hi,

I need a bit of advice on fitting my De-cat and Screamer pipe as i dont know what kind of tools i need and what good techniques people have got to getting them on and off,

Any possibility anyone can shed some light on the subject for me please

If i remember right a 12mm socket or spanner fits on, its pretty easy to do, u might want to remove the radiator for a bit more space, upto u if u remove it or not tho

So a 12mm socket fits over the star bolt, it doesn't mangle the bolts up does it? After all the bolts are off I want to replace them with normal nuts anyway

yea 12mm mate, and obvs a rachet and extensions etc

Yep 12mm nuts and think its 22mm for lamba sensor cant remember

It will be a twat it you still have air con in as there is very little room with that, the pump and rad.

I would take it to an exhaust place if you still have air con etc. Cost me £35 for em to swap it ages ago when i was scared of tools lol.

I managed to get the turbo bolts off fairly easily, what i did is went to halfords and just bought a E16 star socket and soaked the bolts in WD40 and they did give up a fight but suddenly they gave way BUT the most ironic thing is the bolts on the CAT which bolt to the centre section i cannot get off for the life of me!! They are just chewing up! Some bright spark decided not to put stainless bolts on when they changed the exhaust so they have basically welded themself up!

Nut splitter wont fit in because of the pipe is in the way so out comes the angle grinder

Doing this on Sunday so if i remember to take some pictures i will do a how to on it for other people
